User Testing is one of the hardest aspect of UX. There are many methodologies that help achieve unbiased, statistically valid data that is valuable to company.
Quantitative Research

What Users do, and how?

First part of UX Research is finding & identifying common patterns of Users’ behaviour, attitudes, and opinions using numerical data and statistics.
Quantitative research focuses on collecting large samples of data, using collection methods such as online polls, NPS surveys, analytics, and more.
Qualitative Research

Why do they do it?

Focused on observing and interviewing small sample of real Users, qualitative research provides a great insight to their mental models, internal processing, and motivations.
Usually in form of individual interviews, good researcher is able to extrapolate the data to uncover bottlenecks, pain points and straight-up usability issues when it comes to using a digital product.

What do you get?

The outcome of UX Research is a well-documented summary of findings, as well as detailed information on each of the particular research method used.

UX Research scope
We conducted extensive research, both quantitative and qualititative, that uncovered serious issues and helped us create designs that greatly improved the User’s Experience.
Together with the company’s Data Analyst, we found out that one of the major functionalities of the service, social media platform, was practically not used by Users, who were primarily interested in finding and applying for courses.
Thanks to User Interviews, we were able to prepare a precise list of functionalities that were needed to create an MVP of the platform, which helped inform UX Design decisions in later stages.

What comes next?

Good UX Research is an ongoing process. Based on our findings, we put forward a list of actions that will ensure quality control, and instill a data-driven culture in the company.
